One of the most often asked questions I get is what kind of hardware we run the creative and survival servers on. Well today is your lucky day.

Hardware

The server is a Dell PowerEdge R410.

  • 2 x Intel L5506 Quad-core Xeon Processor (2.13GHz)
  • 8 x 2GB DDR3-1066 RAM Module
  • 4 x 1TB Seagate ES.2 7200RPM SAS Drive

The server is currently being hosted at Secured Servers on a 1Gbps unmetered connection.

Upgrade Plans

With the help of the Reddit public members, we were able to raise $520 dollars to upgrade the server. The upgrade includes additional Intel L5506 Quad-core Xeon Processor, which will allow us to utilize the 2nd bank of memory and increase the total RAM capacity to 16GB. I've already provisioned out the additional RAM chips, so once the processor is installed we'll be set.

UPDATE: upgrade completed!
