Overview
The city of Southridge is planned for the Creative server revision 14.
Concept
Residents of Southridge receive a 96m-by-96m plot of land.
The plots of land are then terra-formed in such a manner that each residents' plot of land blends into each of the neighboring plots.
To accomplish this, residents must work together to produce a cohesive stretch of land. The idea is to end up with an aesthetically pleasing landscape upon which to build.
The final phase of the project is to decide on a style of building that reflects the preference of the majority of residents. Again, the idea here is to have a style of building that suits the landscape and takes advantage of the unique landscape created by the residents of Southridge.
Guidelines
Each user/resident:
- Receives a 96m x 96m plot of land.
- Terra-forms the land with features like sheer cliffs, hills, mountains, floating islands, rivers, waterfalls or other landscape features.
- When terra-forming the land, only standard landscape blocks may be used as long as they adhere to Creative server rules (Dirt, Sand, Sapling)
- Landscape blocks from the nether may also be used (Glowstone, Netherrack, Soulsand)
- Must make his/her plot of land gracefully blend into all neighboring plots, unless the majority of residents agree upon the resulting landscape.
- Can build structures upon their plot of land when neighboring plots' shared borders have been completed AND the majority of residents have agreed upon a building style for structures.
History
The name of the city was inspired by a random road in Utah
