The idea for Topaz is a "hub-and-spoke" arrangement of metro lines originating at the town's grand station. A city center will be built surrounding the station, but each metro line will lead to a small "neighborhood" where small houses are intended to develop. The design is unusual because it uses few roads compared to most cities of its size, and leaves wide spaces of greenbelt for farming, tree planting, and general environmental preservation. | |||
Current ideas on the table include a 3-dimensional scale map of the city somewhere in the city center, which could be made of building materials or wool. There is also discussion of which biome would be chosen. |
