Marting11 had the idea of this project before revision 18. He waited for a fresh map to start it to have some nice landscape and enough time to finish it.
This project is a replica of the "Château de Chenonceau", a French castle located on the Cher River (more info:[[1]]. The scale was approximated and is about 1:1 (considering a Minecraft block is 1m3). All the original rooms and gardens were replicated, except the basement and the stables.
In order to have some space to build the gardens, mountains were completely leveled with the help of about ten players.
