Rokku117 has been around roughly since January 2013, joining PvE after suggestion from his IRL friend Switchviewz. He quickly became amazed by PvE's massive playerbase and sense of community. The city builds did nothing, but blow his mind. Some notable builds he remembers from first joining are Kalmos, Bromgoth, Iron Grinder west of spawn, Ra, Baktun, and Pearl Islands.
His time has mainly been spent on PvE, but has had occasional ventures on C to build with Im_a_ninja13, and as well to Hail Ted with Tedbear. His time on S has been minimal, but built a small dwelling with Skiflea and a few others in an almost PvE themed city for part of a rev.
Notable Creations and Developement of PvE
His largest contributions to PvE have been through the creation of Whiteoak, with his Co-Founder Switchviewz, and to a lesser extent Quietskillzz.
Whiteoak Rev10
Whiteoak in Rev10 was formed in the far north in the extreme hills near Pearl Islands. This was the first iteration of Whiteoak. It consisted of a castle-type building built on a floating island. This was contributed to by his close personal friends IRL Switchviewz, Quietskillzz, and Skebie. As he was new to PvE and not knowing how it worked, a lot of time was spent traveling through the mountains south of Ra to get between spawn and Whiteoak without having to cross the Volcano near Bromgoth. A significant number of materials that were gathered for the creation for Whiteoak in this rev, was the free wool chest at Bromgoth portal.
This rev was filled with many learning opportunities that lead him to further his knowledge on everything PvE.
Whiteoak Rev11
The pièce de résistance of everything that is the essence of Whiteoak culminated in Rev11. The rev began with minds full of imagination and hope for a lots of good creation and fun. The rev began and the first few days were spent circling the map. This is rokku's favorite map designed by his favorite admin, thrawn21 [We need a new thrawn map] The amazing geological formations and trees that were explored and found in the beginning of the rev were amazing. Switchviewz found Whiteoak a forest consisting of custom trees and a custom spider spawner above ground in the very north of the map. About 2 weeks into the revision, we discovered that Port Aperture had found a portal and built their town a little over 200 meters away. Whiteoak mayors were approached by Head mayor for Port Aperture, Raymond#### about becoming a district of PA, due to our closeness. Rokku and Switch mulled this over and agreed that it would be a fun venture for our first actual revision to pair with one of the largest cities on P at the time. We met many friends in Port Aperture, including johnl1479, Raymond[Previously stated]hamsale, and many more.
Notable Creations of Rokku117 in Whiteoak and other Cities, Rev11
With rev11 well underway, there were many creations made by those in Whiteoak. Most notably by Rokku117 for the few weeks Switchviewz & Quietskillzz were on a family vacation to Italy, where Rokku missed them dearly, by himself on P.
- Recited from memory
One of the first builds in Whiteoak was the storage room, where Switchviewz lived for the rev. This consisted of a hole dug into the wall and filled with chests and small farms for food. The Town Hall was created after a schematic Rokku found on the internets of a small church. His practice with Schematica has led to many other creations being made on a creative SSP to be put onto P. Underneath this church was a multi-layer Maze made with a program he found on the interwebs.
Rokku's house first started as a small leaf-walled garden with a small brewing-bar and villager trading sections. He quickly realised that this was not enough room to work with for what he needed. He then proceeded to dig 2, 4 tall rooms underneath this garden with an entrance in the pool in the back of the house. The first level was purely cosmetic as he did not want to throw someone directly into something so ugly and chest filled. The next layer down was his crafting and smelting room. Home to lots of furnaces and crafting benches used for his creation of everything in Whiteoak. He quickly ran out of room in both of these rooms and decided to dig another level to put a chest room in. Each level was designed very differently and each had its own custom feel to it. After he had finished his storage room, he spent many a time building in Whiteoak and other cities. The next floor came as a need for melon to finish off his storage room. So he built an automatic melon farm powered by the sun and stolen [design wise] from the melon farm in PA. The floor after that was a large Wheat farm activated by pulsating lights to harvest. This idea was largely influenced by the player Herbrin3 on the outskirts of Endor. After his wheat farm was completed, he needed to use his wheat on something, so he built another room dedicated to Cows, sheep, and pigs. Many a slaughter was had in this room, just as many a level was gained for use in enchanting his pickaxes and axes used in the harvest of materials for Whiteoak and other dwellings. This was the first time Rokku had been on mumble, he spoke to Kisa_gitana about protecting his cow room from wayward miners at such a low level.
His other dwellings around the server included houses in near Endor, hidden in a cave. In wellspring, modeled after a jungle temple, but constructed in sandstone and lapis blocks. In Argoth, with his very strange design for such a small town feel. His small trading post settled in the desert to the West of Seneca. His Port aperture themed tower located in Pico, was one of his larger builds. His in-ground wizard tower located in Air Temple, which was led by Appa13 a continuing friend of Rokku117. His diamond derp house, which was later removed due to conflict with the mayor of the nether city of Fak. The house built in [to be filled in, later to be called Demacia in rev12] made with Marcus, SPE, Jichoi, and others. The exploration outpost in Atlantis, made for gathering clay and looking for hidden sponge. His house in Baktun and consequent befriending of Baktun mayors, was fruitful even though his house was never completed. Many others, a total of 13 houses, were created due to exploration and need to build in Rev11.
Many notable builds in Whiteoak, made by Rokku117, were the Large Tardis in between PA and WO. This Tardis was built with wool given to Rokku by Vinhaven. The Statue of Atlas was built as a memorial to Switchviewz' trip to Italy and Rokku's loss of a friend for 2 weeks. The large enderman statue and the Plasma cutter [from dead space] were 2 of Rokku's ventures into 3D pixel art. His development of roads and plots for new members were very beneficial as new members came in occasionally, including some more of his IRL friends and some PA members who liked the style of Whiteoak. With the change of Minecraft and the addition of horses to minecraft, Rokku changed town hall into a breeding a mass storage system, of horses, for Whiteoak. This update also led to Rokku creating another top layer to his house in Whiteoak, to house all of his horses. He gathered one of each color and texture to store and ride. He also had a mule a donkey, and 2 white horses named mattman00000 and brews_wane, both wearing gold or diamond horse armor.
Many friends and builds were made during this rev and it is regarded as Rokku's favorite to date.
Notable Events of Rev11
Rokku made many friends all over the server. The creation of a second End grinder that brought about the banning of private grinders on the server, was made by Vinhaven and Atlantis, headed by princessugly and Trooprm32.
The crash of Port Aperture due to overwork of construction early in the rev lead to a fairly empty town for the most of the rev.
Whiteoak Rev12
Revision 12 of PvE was upon us! With the closing of Whiteoak Rev11, Switchviewz and Rokku117 were off with their Port Aperture friends to find a portal and build to their hearts content. The South-East portal was found shortly after the beginning of the rev on a hill. The large aperture-shaped building that had been planned by both Port aperture and Whiteoak was built within the first few weeks of the rev. This led to Whiteoak being started in the swamp to the East of the Port Aperture building. With switch busy with PA and helping get town hall started, this left Rokku to start in on the swamp. Many slime balls were had early on and sold for much profit.
Notable Creations of Rokku117 and Whiteoak/Port Aperture in Rev12
Whiteoak was started in short with the creation of the material housing building. The roads were designed by Rokku with what was one hand, which is actually the best way he builds. His removal of the swamp trees was swiftly followed by plot markings and creation of his own house. Switch and Rokku had agreed to live together as it would allow them to build more in Whiteoak proper. This house was never finished and was going to be a large windmill. The original Spleef stadium for Port Aperture was designed by hamsale and featured a large sphere made to look like the Wheatley form Portal 2. The Spleef arena in Whiteoak was dug into the ground and certified by FISA reps for official games [None were actually played there, except casual Whiteoak games]
There was a very relaxed state of building in Whiteoak this rev. The creativity flowed out of many players including builds featuring a large squid and a massive cane tower. There was a very large Library planned mainly by Pinko_eric and partly by Rokku, to the south of the main Whiteoak. This design was made on the Whiteoak planning server in its early days. This allowed Rokku to build a server wide museum to all the amazing events of the rev, including Totemo's fishing contest, the Halloween event, Christmas event, New years, and the lottery winnings of ghrey303, which included a server wide scavenger hunt made by [to be filled in, worker of CARBON]
Whiteoak also had made major friends in founding of Metal Mountains and Port 80 to the west of the PA dome. EternityofDeath, Shredtildeth, Bungpiece were all builders of Metal Mountains. fishing4monkeys, saberfysh, kp######, loganran, miogre, were all major builders in Port 80. Both of these cities combined with PA in the beginning of the rev to for an alliance known as the MPA80 [Metal Port Aperture 80] which then joined the larger alliance known as SEA [South Eastern Alliance] Which consisted of Vinhaven and a few other cities.
Notable Events and additions to Whiteoak rev12
Early in the rev, Rokku was approached by a lone player asking about where he could build his house, because of the close proximity to the emerging Whiteoak in the swamp. This led to the adaption of Pinko_eric into Whiteoak to the north, building his very large stone citadel. He became a close friend and builder of Whiteoak and Rokku, later being promoted to mayor due to his helpfulness and friendliness to the original mayors. His contributions, though limited because of his own schedule were greatly appreciated in Whiteoak.
Another notable member of Whiteoak was ghrey303. Ghrey303 was a farming master and created the Whiteoak cane tower which lead to many a lag and villager creation and trading mastership. Ghrey's contributions in Whiteoak are some of the greatest, as far as scale, that have ever happened in Whiteoak. His friendship towards all the other mayors and his contributions lead to quick promotion to Mayor of Whiteoak.
Midway through the rev, we lost one of our head admins. Johnadams1735. This loss was a shock to the server and many felt great pain and woefulness. This loss was reflected all over the server through people building memorials and remembering her name in fondness. As well as reflecting stories posted on the sub-reddit from everyone. Even the smallest tale was recorded, and it stands as the highest voted post of the entire sub.
The loss of Port Aperture was another, less tragic event that led to the first take over of a city from Whiteoak. We contacted the last known member of Port Aperture and invited him to join Whiteoak and convert the town hall to Whiteoak theme and colors. Coordination with the admins and old members of PA, led to the change over from Port Aperture to Whiteoak.
