CARnivore_nds created a minecraft version of the Mesoamerican Maya Ballgame.
"Maya Ballgame, which is a branch of the Mesoamerican Ballgame, is a sporting event that was played throughout the Mesoamerican era by the Maya civilization. The Maya civilization was spread out throughout much of Central America. One of the common links of the Mayan culture of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize is the game played with a rubber ball [...]. Maya ballgame was played with big stone courts. The ball court itself was a focal point of Maya cities and symbolized the city's wealth and power."
How to play
- Teams of up to 5 players attempt to score by getting the Head (ball) into the basket.
- PVP is enabled on the court.
- Players can drop and “pass” the ball as needed.
- If a player dies during play, they move into the “pit” until there is a score.
- The Head is put into play from the center of the court, in Jump Ball Fashion.
- First team to 5 wins.
