Mahri Nui is buzzie71's primary build of rev 9, an underwater complex, situated in the ocean between Seneca and Lothos. It is once again named after the sunken village in the BIONICLE storyline of the same name. Indeed, its structure is nearly identical to Mahri Nui from the previous revision, though it is planned to be more expansive.
This page will be updated as construction of different parts of the structure are completed.
Central Chamber
A large circular chamber, this is a near-carbon-copy of the same Central Chamber of Mahri Nui from the previous revision. It is connected on four sides by corridors - orange to the Nui Stadium, white to the airlock and the Ihu Laboratory, and the unfinished green and light blue corridors.
Nui Stadium
A circular spleef stadium north of the central chamber, connected by a special glass-roof tunnel. It was at an informal 1v1 spleef tournament that the location of the stadium, and thus Mahri Nui, was formally revealed. Constructed by buzzie71, tompreuss, and Nosirrom, this was buzzie's first attempt at a spleef stadium following his aborted attempt in rev 7. Unlike the previous attempt, this stadium was built in an effort to comply with FISA regulations. Along with all expected features of a spleef stadium, this one also has an emergency exit located behind the ref box, should the stadium fall victim to grief, fire, catastrophic structural failure, or hostile mob invasion.
The arch in the corridor leading to the stadium contains six blocks representing the six main elements from the BIONICLE storyline. The top of the ref box bears the Nuva Symbol of Gali, Toa of Water, while the bottom of the drop pit is decorated with the Three Virtues symbol.
Ihu Laboratory
A botanical laboratory named after a late Scholar in the BIONICLE storyline. Unlike the other chambers of the complex, this one is in the shape of a cylinder lying on its side. Inside, there are five rooms dedicated to different experiments, a ladder to a sample storage cave underneath, and an auxiliary airlock used to survey the nearby marine life (though it can also be used as an emergency exit if need be).
(Trivia: it was originally named the Nynrah Laboratory, but buzzie thought better about naming a botanical laboratory after a group of weaponsmiths.)
