Spawn is the building/area where players spawn the first time they join the server. It is usually located at the center of the map, and it contains the rules of the server, the spawn nether portal, free food and other treats to help equip freshly joined players before venturing outside.
Design
New comers would first spawn inside a traditional Japanese dry garden, where a sign advised them to continue ahead to read the server rules. Inside the main building, which was inspired in a traditional Japanese temple, players could find a list of rules and commands, a list of admins and moderators, and general information about the revision. The second floor was dedicated to the Map Room, which was never completed. Finally, and before venturing outside, players were invited to visit the Protections Tutorial, the Rail Station, the Public Farms, Nether Portal, and the popular Trade Center.
Spawn Rail Station
Spawn's Rail Station had connections with Agua Fria, Lothos, Seneca, Topaz, Pico, New Argoth, Pleasantville and Wellspring.
Establishing a tradition
Rev 6 was perhaps the first revision that saw a Spawn with a consistent theme being applied throughout the Spawn area and its adjacent buildings. We will see this newfound tradition ripple through future admin teams and revisions, making it another special characteristic of the nerd.nu servers that players look forward to.
