A small overview of the map and some of its major cities. Scroll to the bottom of the page for larger maps with more settlements labelled!

The Reddit PvE server has a large (and steadily increasing) number of settlements -- some big, some small, many awesome, showcasing the creativity and building skills of many different users.

Explore! The live map is available as of December 25th 2011. There are multiple user-created maps floating around as well. This page is intended as a place to aggregate these maps, and as a place for the community to list the coordinates of every settlement out there.

List of coordinates

Please add any settlements that are missing -- this is a wiki after all!

Central Settlements (<300 blocks from spawn)

Northern Settlements (-z)

Eastern Settlements (+x)

Western Settlements (-x)

Southern Settlements (+z)

Gallery of Maps

The full, huge version of the map is so big the wiki software barfs trying to render its thumbnail. Rawr.

Here's the actual image and here's its wiki page. It's 6000x6000; one pixel = one block.

The blank version (created by 31stCenturyMatt; same wiki thumbnail issue) is available here (actual image) and here (wiki page).

Please add additional maps!

Technical Notes

The three "atlas" maps were generated by bencvt's Python script, which scrapes this wiki page, then adds labels onto a blank map. The source is available here. If the maps are out of date, feel free to run the script yourself and upload the results!

Here's a quick run-down of the categories in use on this page:

  • (hub) - A settlement located at the intersection of several major transportation corridors (i.e. nether portals and/or a ton of rails!)
  • (city) - A very large town... i.e., dozens of citizens, a large footprint, rail links, a spleef team, etc. The whole city vs. town thing is of course subjective. The distinction is only here to make sure the small map doesn't get cluttered into uselessness... it only has so many pixels!
  • (town) - The vast majority of settlements fall into this category.
  • (poi) - Miscellaneous Point of Interest, stuff that isn't a settlement by itself. These can be just about anything... nether portals, rail stations, spleef arenas, monuments, etc.

Hubs and cities show up on all three map sizes. Towns show up on the medium and huge maps. POIs only show up on the huge map.

The blank map was generated by 31stCenturyMatt's custom Minecraft addon. The source is available here; also check his post to the subreddit.
